Isaiah 66:
1This is what the LORD says:
“Heaven is My throne and the earth is the footstool for My feet.
Where then is a house you could build for Me?
And where is a place that [a]I may rest?
2“For My hand made all these things,
So all these things came into being,” declares the LORD.
“But I will look to this one,
At one who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at My word.

Luke 18:
9Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:10“Two men went up into the [e]temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.11The Pharisee stood and began praying this inregard to himself: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13But the taxcollector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, ‘God, be[f]merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14I tell you, this manwent to his house justified rather than the otherone; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Mathew 18:
21Then Peter came up and said to Him, “Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me and I still forgive him? Up to seven times?”22Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to [w]seventy-seven times.
23“For this reason the kingdom of heaven [x]is likea king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves. 24And when he had begun to settle them, one who owed him [y]ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25But since he [z]did not have the means to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and allthat he had, and repayment be made. 26So the slave fell to the ground and prostrated himselfbefore him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you everything.’ 27And the master of that slave felt compassion, and he released him and forgave him the [aa]debt. 28But that slavewent out and found one of his fellow slaves whoowed him a hundred [ab]denarii; and he seizedhim and began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay backwhat you owe!’ 29So his fellow slave fell to the ground and began to plead with him, saying, ‘Have patience with me and I will repay you.’30But he was unwilling, [ac]and went and threwhim in prison until he would pay back what was owed. 31So when his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were deeply grieved and cameand reported to their master all that had happened. 32Then summoning him, his master
said to him, ‘You wicked slave, I forgave you allthat debt because you pleaded with me. 33Shouldyou not also have had mercy on your fellowslave, in the same way that I had mercy on you?’34And his master, moved with anger, handed him over to the [ad]torturers until he would repay allthat was owed him. 35My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your [ae]heart.”

Mathew 10:
32“Therefore, everyone who [x]confesses Me before people, I will also confess [y]him before My Father who is in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
