NO ONE moves to Florida to pay higher taxes.
No one.
It’s unfathomable that 5 out of the 5 “Republican” Martin County Commissioners (Ed Ciampi, Stacey Hetherington, Doug Smith, Harold Jenkins, & Sarah Heard) voted last night to dramatically hike your taxes in this garbage economy. Yes, I said that right, “Republicans.”
I ran for office in a deep blue state and would stand outside in the rain, knowing I had nearly no chance of winning, protesting job-killing taxes.
Hard to believe I live in red Florida and my county commissioners voted like they’re in blue New York.
