A study a long time ago said by time people in New Orleans got water from their faucets it had passed through 15 toilets into treatment plants.
Now imagine if you will, all the stuff flushed down the toilet and sinks.
Then goes to water treatment cleaned, strained, chemicals and recycle.
Then fresh out of your faucet. The boats being blown up in the ocean which covers 2/3 of the planet is less a problem than the water out of your faucet.
Of course that doesn’t count if a nefarious actor hacks into the system, like has been done, or someone adds to already treated water.
