🚨 Major development: Iran has reportedly put a detailed ceasefire/Hormuz plan before the U.S.

This crosses the threshold because it is more specific than the negotiating positions we had this morning.

Reported, but not yet formally confirmed by both governments: Regional sources briefed by mediators say Iran has presented Washington with a road map proposing a region-wide ceasefire lasting up to 60 days, a phased reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, an end to attacks on Arab neighbors, and negotiations aimed at ending the conflict. Iran wants the U.S. blockade lifted as part of the arrangement. President Donald Trump has not agreed to the plan and reportedly will not lift the blockade before Iran demonstrates what Washington considers sufficient goodwill.

That means this is not a ceasefire yet. But it is potentially important because the negotiations have progressed from broad demands to a proposed sequence of concrete actions—ceasefire, Hormuz reopening, blockade negotiations and wider ...
