Adulting is hard. But we ALL have to do it.
We don't get to opt-out and decide someone else should do it for us, because we've convinced ourselves that our journey was harder.
We have no idea what anyone else has been through. We all need the same shit to survive, and we all have the same tools with which to accomplish it. Especially in the most free nation in the world.
Life isn't fair. And you can't fix that with legislation, or praying to some pretend god. The best you can do is take government roadblocks out of the way. Justice cannot be imposed, only injustice can be removed. It's a negative concept.
Charity begins at home. If everyone took care of business, we wouldn't need charity. There are those who cannot possibly care for themselves, and those few should be cared for through charity. If we aren't a good enough people to care for our own, how are we good enough to elect angels to do it for us?
