About a week and a half ago my wife and I were on our way to town to get a couple of parts I needed to finish installing a new A/C compressor in her car. We were in my truck and on the way to town, I was telling her how much "I Love My Truck" !!! WELL, currently that opinion has changed !!!!

I was hungry so we stopped to grab a quick burger at Culvers, shut the truck off and ate my butter burger. Started the truck up, then while going down the road and then noticed the fuel, oil pressure, amp and volt gauges weren't working. Then realized the power window, locks, radio, and A/C weren't either. Truck was running fine, tach and speedo both working, and they are in the same cluster as the ones that weren't working. That's strange.

That was 9 days ago. Been working on it everyday and still haven't figured it out. Ordered and installed a new BCM (body control module) which is supposed to control all the things that are not working. Waste of $200., didn't help. My truck looks like a bear got inside and tore everything apart. I have every module unplugged looking for one that might be shorted out, no luck. I have stripped every bit of tape off the wiring harnesses under the dash looking for a short or broken wire. No luck. Ordered a new PCM ( main computer) another $160., it will be here today. Hopefully that will fix the problem. If not I will have a 2004 Chevy Silverado, "one owner" for sale cheap !!!! Wish me luck, I still love my truck !!!!
