If congress was directly affected by the laws they pass, we would have the finest premium healthcare, amazing high value retirement, low or no taxes, constitutional carry in every state, high quality well paid police protection, just to name a few things. But since we are plebes, and congress sees us as their underlings, we get nothing they give to themselves.
