Sounds to me like the FD failed to put out the fire adequately in the beginning. Then did not investigate it appropriately at the beginning. Then LA didn't have adequate fire suppression capability. Then LA had DEI hires rather than competent leaders. And when the winds came and the fire took off and devastated the palisades, they need to deflect as much of the blame as necessary. Don't get me wrong, this firebug needs to go to prison forever. No doubt about it. But don't let the LA government officials lay all the responsibility they hold for this on a scape goat. Fuck that and fuck them!
