If people had to work a deep fryer at 15 years old, while working full-time illegally, and amused themselves by throwing ice cubes in the deep fryer, they'd understand the dangers of deep frying a frozen or partially frozen turkey.
I spent a lot of years in combat theatres. Not that I ever made more than 80k a year in the military. But our pay was tax free in the combat zone up to 80k. That was always a welcome boost in income during those deployments. I could get behind that policy for our service members if they can make it happen. For the average enlisted man that could equate to 15-25k extra in their pockets a year. I mean, my VA check every month is tax free. Why not active duty pay?
