According to reports, FBI co-Deputy Director Andrew Bailey appears poised to ascend to Bongino’s position. He will assume additional responsibilities in the role, including overseeing the bureau’s daily operations and making key decisions.
Bailey was hired as co-Deputy Director back in September of this year. Before that, he served as Attorney General of Missouri.

I wish people would stop bashing Dan, especially before even hearing what he has to say. First, he is strategic and sound in his decision making. Second, he can’t do it alone. Maybe “we” collectively need to step up where we can. If I was as smart as he is, maybe I’d thrown in my hat to do my year or two of Deputy Director. Third, we know our salvation doesn’t come from Dan and we can’t let his decision distract from all the shenanigans that even the Republicans are doing.
