If freedom doesn't come with responsibility, then who is responsible for our freedom?

Freedom axiomatically requires individual responsibility because one cannot possibly be free if they must depend on someone else for their subsistence. We are necessarily beholden to that which supports us. If we can't support ourselves, we have no legitimate right to solicit anything from whose who are already supporting us.

"If you live under my roof, you live by my rules." If we wish to live by our own rules, we must live under our own roofs.
