I'm going to shake the tree on statistics a little bit. I'll leave a brief list of sources at the end.
Now I had heard that 1 in 10 in America are illegal aliens (fox news), so I looked it up. The KNOWN illegals in this country are about 3.3% of the population. There is also another 10% EACH YEAR who are known as "got aways". While they seem to refuse to give a count because they really don't know, I suspect 1 out of 10 people in America are illegals isn't unreasonable if you INCLUDE "got aways". For the sake of this post, it's safe to say, they are 10% of the population, and are federal felons.
Lets take this a little further.
1 in 3 (33%) of Americans have a criminal record which isn't necessarily critical. A lot of people do something stupid during their life. However 8% of American's are convicted felons, to be on the safe side, lets imply they may be dangerous.
Now add up the dangerous Americans with the dangerous illegals. Basically states that a fair number of people living in this country legally, or illegally, can be considered "possibly dangerous to be around". You probably don't want a LOT of them around your family, it's a big-big number. Now I know there are a LOT of good people out there, some are clean as a fresh fallen snow, some are pretty dirty in their passed but may have "repented" of their bad deeds. Some I'm sure haven't. We have CONSTANT re-offenders that can't seem to live a civilized life. This isn't even considering the violent Karen's and Soy-Boys we see in blue cities rioting on a daily basis.
It's safe to say this country is a pretty hostile environment. Is that fair?
Now we have something called the 2nd amendment which gives all US citizens the right to bear arms, protect our families and ourselves, hunt, and yes-stop an out of control government.
Hold on to your shorts now, 65% of the population believe it is reasonable to have restrictions on the 2nd amendment. Only 35% are concerned that government will go too far in restricting the 2nd amendment.
To put that in perspective, 46% of Americans identify as Republican or right, while 45% identify as Democrat or left. It implies a fair number of American's on the right, and most on the left, believe the 2nd amendment should be restricted.
My major point here is to show that while we live in the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, it still can be a dangerous place to live, and even though we see MASSIVE numbers of bad people, violence, crime, murders, etc, a LARGE number of people in this country don't necessarily believe that we have the right to defend ourselves. Do those people live in a protective bubble? I'm not sure, but one thing is for sure, I will never be ashamed of the fact that I am very pro 2nd amendment, and practice that right.
What the statistics I've posted prove is that the 2nd amendment is still very necessary, and anyone who doesn't believe that, is in my opinion, a fool. Don't let our government, that seems to be dividing more and more by the day, become hard left. Communists are taking over blue areas, pushing hard to remove your constitutional rights, and the norms that made America great. A generation ago, we would have NEVER CONSIDERED what's happening right now. We are over regulated, over taxed, and in some areas, it's only getting worse. Don't let it spread! Get out and vote! Stay informed!
Some say if the space industry develops and a power source that’s non solid. This will destroy the oil industry. I don’t believe that. Just look at clothes, plastics, machinery. We will need oil for along time. Obama is creating a distraction.
I’m elated that my interview with Director Patel pissed off all of the right media people. I thoroughly enjoy watching you all rage out and claw at your own faces, along with your daily burning sessions of me in effigy as I destroy your bullshit narratives.
I know schadenfreude is probably wrong, but I gently hope that all of my shows moving forward cause you the same anguish and intestinal distress.
Respectfully,
Dan
