I am one that sometimes picks up on statistics and data to draw a different perspective. Take New York that is begging high income people to move back because they no longer going to be able to afford their generous social programs. One in particular stood out to me and what they are paying out was to the homeless that was costing 84,000 a year and is set to be raised to 96,000 per homeless person. This amounts to 26% more than their proposed minimum wage that they consider a living wage. Proving to me , without improving ethics ( responsibility ) of the individual their isn't any amount of money that will be enough. There are wealthy children that battle addictions that blow through millions a year on drugs, sex and gambling. The reason eventually means if your are a responsible hard working adult you are obligated by decree to fund these programs and because your spending power is reduced with each point of inflation and your contribution increases. In bookkeeping it is income redistribution as the wealthy go where money grows.
