To those who have and will bow out and not perform at the 250th Independence Day celebration in D.C., shame on you.
First those who voice safety concerns. Our founders, men and women who were willing to sacrifice everything, and some did, the men and women who faced danger and risk of loss of life over the last 250 years to provide you a nation with freedom, yet you are unwilling to celebrate their sacrifice by playing some music, shame on you. A lot of folks are separated from families and far from home providing your freedom.
People like Toby Keith and many others since WWII willingly traveled to hostile areas to put in shows for the troops. Yet you are afraid to do it right here in country.
To those who claim politics. If you know in your heart why you are there, that is all that matters. Again, a nation that has provided you freedom and the ability to chase your dreams and succeed, that’s why you were asked, yet you turn your back because someone told you too, shame on you. There are many lesser known and unknown who would love to have the opportunity you turned down. Personally, I wish whoever is organizing the festivities would ask unknowns. To show that America gives the little guy a chance not just the already successful.
We don’t need entertainers with egos or the inability to think for themselves.
How I wish Toby were still alive. He would do it for the country, regardless of political party or threats.
I say good riddance to all those who cancelled and I hope your careers go the way of the Dixie chics. Shame on the whole lot of you.
People literally fought with no food, no shoes, ragged clothes in the dead of winter to start this country you call home and enjoy all of its blessings.
People were willing to sacrifice it all, lives, fortunes and families.
Funny thing is, The guy who is our President, Donald John Trump, has been willing to sacrifice everything, family, fortune, and life to save this country and turn it around. Threatened every hour of everyday, yet doesn’t back down.
All you people were ask to do is play some music for a short time for the American citizens that made you what you are by supporting you.
You disgust me.
God Bless The United States of America.
God Bless all those who are not afraid to stand up for this country in the face of adversity.
