Republicans Must Stop Complaining and Start Competing
Republicans can be angry about California’s election system, and they have every right to be. Slow counting, late ballot swings, long mail-in windows, ballot curing, massive urban ballot operations, and unclear public reporting all destroy trust. But anger alone does not win elections. If Republicans want to save the country, they cannot keep walking into a system built for Democrat turnout and then act shocked when Democrats use it better.
The hard truth is this: Democrats treat elections like a full-time operation. They register voters year-round. They chase ballots. They cure rejected ballots. They harvest every legal vote they can. They use lawyers, activists, nonprofits, unions, and local political machines. Republicans too often treat elections like a one-day event, then complain when late-counted ballots erase early leads. That has to end.
Republicans need to build their own legal ballot machine in every state, county, and city. That means aggressive voter registration, early voting, mail-ballot tracking, ballot curing teams, trained poll watchers, election lawyers ready before Election Day, and volunteers who know the rules better than the Democrats do. If ballot collection is legal, use it. If curing is legal, master it. If early voting is legal, bank the votes before Election Day. Do not surrender the system and then complain that the other side used it.
At the same time, Republicans must fight to clean up the rules: voter ID, updated voter rolls, shorter counting windows, strict chain of custody, no unsecured ballot boxes, transparent batch reporting, and real audits. But until those reforms happen, Republicans must compete under the rules that exist. The goal should be simple: beat Democrats at their own legal game while fighting to restore a system voters can actually trust.
The message to Republican leadership should be blunt: stop whining, stop reacting, stop fundraising off outrage, and start building. Every county needs a permanent election operation. Every questionable rule needs a legal response. Every conservative voter needs to be contacted, registered, reminded, helped, and followed up with. Democrats built a machine. Republicans need to build a better one — cleaner, tougher, smarter, and impossible to ignore.
The men who put country before self, and freedom before their own personal safety, deserved to be remembered today in all their glory for their remarkable heroism on D-Day.
Operations Overlord and Bodyguard were successful only because of the oceans of blood shed on those beaches by the patriots buried there. You will never be forgotten for saving humanity from the black clouds of evil that hovered over the world. Thank you patriots. 🇺🇸
