Social Security has always been a scam. Forcing people to donate to a trust fund is unConstitutional. That's why Obama was arguing in court that the "mandate" was a tax, while telling the public it wasn't. FDR did the same thing. He advertised Social Security as a trust fund to the public, while arguing in the courts it was a tax. Look it up. There was a nominal "trust fund" for a bit, but it was just for show. The system has always been based on pay as you go taxation.
It was designed to get us to accept socialism, not to take care of us in retirement.
