Matthew 8:
5And when [g]Jesus entered Capernaum, a [h]centurion came to Him, begging Him, 6and saying, “[i]Lord, my [j]servant is lying paralyzed at home, terribly tormented.” 7Jesus *said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8But the centurionreplied, “[k]Lord, I am not worthy for You to comeunder my roof, but just [l]say the word, and my [m]servant will be healed. 9For I also am a manunder authority, with soldiers under me; and I sayto this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” 10Now when Jesus heard this,He was amazed and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not foundsuch great faith [n]with anyone in Israel. 11And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and [o]recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; 12but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13And Jesussaid to the centurion, “Go; [p]it shall be done for you as you have believed.” And the [q]servant was healed at that very [r]moment.
IT IS MY PLEASURE TO HEAL YOU. YES INDEED. I WILL HEAL YOU. "When Jesus came down from the mountain, great crowds followed him. And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I will do it. Be made clean.” His leprosy was cleansed immediately. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.” (Matthew 8: 1 - 4). Friday June 26th in the 12th Week of Ordinary Time. Below is what touched my heart in the Gospel of today. "And then a leper approached, did him homage, and said, “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I will do it. Be made clean.” Can you sense a certain joy in the answer of Jesus to the leper? It is as if to say: 'My friend, you are the first person to talk to me today and ask me for what I love to do. Healing people!' 'Look! I came to heal people. To open the eyes of the blind. To make the deaf hear and enjoy music. To cast out the pestering evil spirit. In fact to cleanse lepers and make them members of the Synagogue again.' It is absolutely true that through the fore-design of Divine Providence, medical science can perform many healings today. But Jesus still enjoys healing people directly if they approach Him with confident faith. I am fired up by the example of the Leper to turn to Jesus in contrition and say: LORD JESUS, if You choose You can make me patient. You can heal me of this ulcer, cancer, diabetes, etc. Jesus make me also aware that Your grace is sufficient for me in every circumstance. Especially Today. Teach me to trust the sufficiency of your grace Today. And not to worry about Tomorrow since Tomorrow belongs entirely to You. The Holy Catholic Church honors the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus every June. "He promised me that His Heart would expand itself to shed abundantly the influence of its divine love upon those who should render it this honor." — St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. Contemplate the dynamic, expanding nature of Christ's love. The Sacred Heart is not a static symbol locked away in history; It is a pressurized furnace of grace that actively expands to burst forth upon any soul that honors It. When you dedicate this month of June to His honor, you open the floodgates of Divine Providence over your life. Expect the Holy Spirit to shed an abundant spiritual influence over your intellect, your home, and your work. This grace is given with a distinct teleological purpose: not for your emotional comfort alone, but to turn you into a conduit of divine charity that overflows into a thirsty world. Prayer: Expand Your Heart over my soul, Lord Jesus, and shed Your divine love abundantly upon me. Read of the abundant promises made to people who honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus especially in June and in the First Fridays of every month.
