THE SAVE CONGRESS FIRST ACT
Congress had time to protect the 2026 election.
They knew the election date.
They knew the Senate rules.
They knew Democrats would fight the bill.
They knew states would need time to prepare.
They knew lawsuits and delays were coming.
None of this surprised them.
They still waited.
Now the strongest nationwide voter-identification requirement would not take effect until after the election that decides which members of Congress keep their jobs.
That is not bad luck.
That is not an innocent scheduling mistake.
That is Washington protecting Washington.
Democrats opposed stronger election safeguards and treated proof of citizenship and voter identification as though asking people to prove their eligibility were somehow an attack on democracy.
Republicans talked tough, made promises, held press conferences and then failed to deliver.
One party blocked it.
The other party surrendered to the blockage.
The American citizen got betrayed by both.
Republicans knew the filibuster existed before they campaigned on election integrity. They knew their margins. They knew exactly what opposition they would face.
Yet once again, they acted shocked that Democrats said no.
That is not leadership.
That is weakness, incompetence and political theater.
If Republicans truly believed election integrity was an emergency, they should have treated it like one. They should have kept Congress in session, forced public votes, separated the bill into clean provisions and made every senator explain directly to the American people why they opposed proof of citizenship or voter identification.
Instead, they followed the usual Washington script:
Make a promise.
Stage a vote.
Blame the other party.
Collect campaign donations.
Ask voters for another chance.
Congress demands that ordinary Americans meet every deadline.
Miss a tax payment and you are penalized.
Miss a court date and you face consequences.
Miss a government deadline and nobody cares about your excuse.
But when Congress misses a deadline affecting the entire country, there is no punishment, no accountability and no shame.
They simply point fingers and go home.
The people who write the rules always seem to protect themselves from the consequences.
That is the real scandal.
Congress did not run out of time.
Congress wasted the time it had.
They did not fail because the problem was too complicated.
They failed because their own political safety came first.
The election deciding whether they keep their jobs will happen before the strongest protection takes effect.
That tells you exactly where you rank in Washington.
Politicians first.
Political parties second.
Donors and special interests third.
Citizens somewhere near the bottom.
They called it the SAVE America Act.
But America was not their first concern.
Their seats were.
Their careers were.
Their power was.
Call it what it really is:

And remember it when these same politicians come begging for your vote and claiming they “did everything they could.”
They did not.
They did what was politically safe.
And America will once again be expected to pay the price.
