This really isn't anything new. A neighbor of mine flopped from one HVAC company to another because of a fairly drastic raise in salary for leaving the old company.
There are also major issues with college grads now days. Probably about a 2/3 (or more) useless rate for current college grads. No one wants to hire college grads because of the stigma behind what college has become. A 4 year degree in subjects that are useless to society, and only useful for DEI related social justice subjects. On top of the useless education, comes a serious bad attitude. No company wants that. I've digressed.
I personally value "blue collar" workers far above current college grads, and I myself, went to college. When I actually sit back and watch these blue collar workers that I may hire in my home. Plumbers, electricians, etc, if the company you hired has a good one, you had better pay them well, because they have no trouble going to another company because their priority is TAKING CARE OF THEIR FAMILY. These blue collar skills are in HIGH DEMAND because the younger generations have no clue how to fix pipes, repair a home, wire a light switch, or even something as common as changing a tire on a car. When I took drivers ed in high school, we changed tires, checked the oil, checked air pressure in tires, etc. That training doesn't happen anymore. Needed domestic subjects like drivers ed, home economics, shop, home budgeting, government and civics, have been replaced with LBGT and DEI subjects, making High School grads USELESS. If they don't have proper support at home, they are going to be as useless as a used piece of gum. Get it off my shoe, it's sticky and yucky.
There are useful college grads. Engineers, or even a hand full of other useful subjects. They will be just fine in the work environment. But the other 2/3 of grads with basket weaving and lesbian woman studies diplomas, and did nothing but go through college life drunk and high, will be a leach on society for the rest of their lives (and life long leftist voters).
