Do you remember when Kitchenaid Appliances were the absolute top of the line??? I do and that's why 22 years ago I outfitted my kitchen with all Kitchenaid appliances.. The dishwasher lasted 12 or 13 years, no complaints and I replaced it with a new one which unfortunately was after WhirlPieceOfShit or Whirlpool bought Kitchenaid... The replacement didn't make it 4 or 5 years before we had to replace the control board... Then there was an ever so small leak in the icemaker line, not the the refrigerators fault that ended up causing a mold problem... Had half the kitchen ripped out... I have an illness and Mrs@Gatorgimp affectionately calls me "Sammy Symetrical" so they changed the handle styles and when I needed to replace the microwave now the refridgerator and oven didn't match so I replaced them as well...
