As a veteran, I view the actions of Iran, its proxies in Lebanon and Yemen, and other hostile actors as a serious challenge to the current international order. Iran has been in direct conflict with Western interests since the 1979 Iranian Revolution, and its efforts to expand influence over strategically important waterways raise significant geopolitical concerns.
Iran's relationships and activities in regions such as Venezuela and Cuba have led many observers to question its long-term objectives in the Western Hemisphere. I believe democratic and civilized societies must remain vigilant against forces that seek to undermine freedom, stability, and security.
In my opinion, any perceived retreat in confronting organizations such as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) could be interpreted by extremist groups as a sign of weakness, encouraging further aggression.
