You know as far as I can remember and further back, not everyone could afford a house. Never has there been a time when everyone could afford a house. They rented. Payed rent, worked and maybe one day could afford a house. My wife’s family always rented until after her dad passed, her mom retired, then her mom could afford a house. Then passed away a couple of years later. My grandmother rented for decades until she came to live with us. So people bitching about affordable homes, get off your ass, bust your ass and maybe one day you can afford one. I worked with a guy decades ago who payed rent and also put the same amount in the bank to buy a house. Busted his ass working.
